Broken, or crushed tea often gets a bad wrap because much of it ends up in tea bags (along with tea dust, filler, and artificial flavours). This one is far better than that - it's a classic, strong tea that your grandad will love. We use this in our Heartstarter blend. Sourced from ethical producers in Sri Lanka.
‘Orange Pekoe’ refers to a high-grade uncut, long-leaf tea. Ours is a bright and strong tea sourced from higher elevations in Sri Lanka. If you’ve drunk tea in Australia before the introduction of teabags, you’ll recognise the taste immediately.
The term 'English Breakfast Tea' was invented in America, probably to dump sub-standard Ceylon and Indian teas on the world market. Our breakfast tea is blended in Cooran, and we think it's too good just for breakfast - you can drink it all day. It's a blend of Chinese Keemun, Indian Assam, and Sri Lankan Orange Pekoe.
Our friend Marty spent some time in China years ago, and fell in love with the tea he discovered there. He never managed to find another tea as good, so we traced his footsteps in Yunnan Province, and created this beautiful blend for him. He's happy.
A classic Earl Grey, made from Ceylon black tea with a hefty dose of genuine Bergamot oil. There are no artificial flavours or colourings here. Earl Grey has a reputation of being the domain of elderly spinsters, but that’s unfair. It’s actually delicious.
One of our most popular teas – fruity and floral, delicate and soft. Our blend contains black tea, hibiscus flowers, bergamot, sunflower petals, rose petals and mallow blossoms. Our blend will vary from time to time, but you’ll never be disappointed.
Bored with coffee in the morning? Try this instead. Our Heartstarter blend combines a high-quality Keemun (China Black) with Broken Orange Pekoe from Sri Lanka to get you going. High in caffeine and full of flavour, a touch of smoke from Lapsang Souchong rounds out the palate.
A classic black tea from China. Often thought to be a lighter style of black tea, don't be afraid - you can brew it as strong as you like. If you like milk in your tea, this the one we'd recommend. We use Keemun in some of blends, including Lost Russian and Heartstarter.
For centuries, camel caravans carried tea from China to Russia along ancient trade routes. The tea was unpacked every day, and became infused with smoke from cooking fires. We didn't find enough smokiness in most caravan teas, so we've blended our own. Take this one camping,
Some producers use the name 'Russian Caravan Tea' to dump surplus stock, including tea from India, Sri Lanka and Kenya. Genuine caravan tea contains tea from various regions in China, and nothing else. This is a smooth, easy-drinking blend containing nothing but premium Chinese tea.
